Male or Female, who decides?

With all of  the attention Bruce Jenner is receiving for his decision to go public with his struggle of having, as he puts it, a “woman’s soul”, there is another story flying under the radar. This story is even more tragic and sad as a Massachusetts couple decided to raise their four year old daughter as a boy, due to the fact that she requested that as early as the age of two!  Her parents say that Mia, her given name, did not embrace her gender at the age of two and  so they decided to facilitate whatever they  needed to for her to be happy,  To be fair these parents did look at research which frightened them and had them believing Mia would be a suicide risk if she grew up with this struggle.   And so they are all victims of a culture that not only encourages such  absurdity but in fact honors and celebrates it. The words courageous and hero are bantered about when this subject is brought up.

I would use different words, such as, sad, sinful, perverted, ungodly, to name a few.  But what this does evidence is the reality of the times in which we live in where right is wrong and wrong is right.  A time where no one is embarrassed as anything any longer.  A time in which there is a strong reductionist view of God, His Word, and His Church.  But this is also a time of great opportunity for the Church, as the lines of contrast have never been brighter.

God’s design is always right and best, whether it be in creation, the family or the church.  Time will always show that to be true., and the results are coming in to verify just that.  In a long term study of 324 Sex Reassigned people in Sweden the conclusion was;

“Persons with transsexualism, after sex reassignment, have considerably higher risks for mortality, suicidal behavior, and psychiatric morbidity [diseased state] than the general population. Our findings suggest that sex reassignment, although alleviating gender dysphoria, may not suffice as treatment for transsexualism”
                                                                          (Pubmed.gov)

But the fact that the facts show people are worse off than before such procedures should not be the reason we speak against it. We as followers of Christ need to speak Gods Word into all of life, as His way is truly best.  We need to have the courage of our forefathers and share Gods design as the normal, best, and most joyful way to live, regardless of what is being said on ABC to Diane Sawyer.   These are exciting times to be followers of Jesus, as He has allowed us to live in a historic culture that is as perverse and dark as any.  So brothers and sister walk in the light, shine the light, don’t hide your light as it is the light of the Lord Jesus Christ that exposes and drives out the darkness.  All around you are people, regardless of how well intentioned they might be, that are stumbling around in darkness, exemplified by parents allowing two year olds to dictate decisions for a family!

If Christ is your Savior you have the light they need.  The question is will you let it shine, or hide it?

For His Glory.

we know as true followers of Christ is that He decides the gender but with culture we live in "anything goes."sad but true.most people that consider themselves "christians" feel whatever makes others happy is fine & God understands .however the truth is when people feel this way they they are an offense to God and his word..the answer is to show His love and share what the gospel says and the rest is up to Him.

Is making your appearance feminine in and of itself sinful, if you are a male or vice versa? Please give me chapter and verse. If you quote the Old Covenant, please be consistent and bring your whole self under that covenant, which would be a curse on you. However, I would really like to know if there is a verse calling the change of your appearance in and of itself sinful.
